Morning

So many times, we’re running here and there – carting the kids off to soccer, ballet, dance, shopping, you name it – we spend a lot of time “running around”. Instead of stopping at the drive-thru for a quick supper, put a couple of pieces of boneless, skinless chicken breasts on the grill – just about 6-8 minutes per side. While that’s cooking, rinse off some sugar plum tomatoes, drizzle with olive oil, balsamic and season with salt & pepper. It’s a quick high protein meal you can serve in less than 30 minutes!

Oh, how we love pumpkin! Pumpkin is a squash and while it can be seasoned sweetly for pies, ice cream (oh yes, we did) and bread, pumpkin can also be paired with savory herbs and spices to create purees, soups, chili, and even simply sauteed in olive oil to serve with hummus, toasted pumpkin seeds in muesli, granola, and yogurt!

Exercise – for someone who has not exercised consistently the idea of “doing something” can feel daunting. How to begin, and what to do has a lot to do with changing your mind first – deciding to exercise. After that, just begin where you are. Start out with a consistent 20 minutes a day a few times a week and build from there. Find a partner to commit with you!

Today we said goodbye to our practice manager, Rebecca Reinhardt. Rebecca started with the practice on day one. We will forever be grateful for her leadership and dedication.
